They days are getting shorter; the temperature is dropping and the layers of clothing are getting thicker. Winter is well and truly upon us and it’s the perfect opportunity to indulge in some mouth-watering winter comfort food (and drinks of course!).

This winter we’ve assembled a list of our favourite winter bites and drinks that are guaranteed to keep you warm and toasty. Keep reading to see what we we’ve picked.

1 – Traditional Roast

Perhaps the ultimate winter warmer, how could we go past the traditional roast? Hooking into this crowd pleaser evokes feelings of cosy family meals spent around the fire – Like a big cuddle from mum, this is guaranteed to make you feel warm inside and out.

Coogee Bay Hotel is serving up a delicious roast every Sunday during winter featuring a variety of top-quality meats, plus beautifully caramelised vegetables and some boss gravy – come check it out!

2- Mulled Wine

Spice things up on a chilly night with this cracking beverage. Featuring heated red wine, orange zest, lemon, cinnamon and a range of other delicious spices – mulled wine finds the perfect balance between sweet and spice making it the ideal winter warmer.

Snuggling up with a significant other? Coogee Bay Hotel also serves its mulled wine in a carafe for two!

3 – Peperoni Pizza

Ready to feel the heat? Our Next winter warmer is the delicious Pepperoni pizza on a traditional style base with succulent mozzarella cheese and fresh tomato pizza sauce. This bad boy also features hot salami, jalapeños and fresh chilli, meaning it packs some serious heat that will definitely warm you up!

4 – Mulled Cider

A delicious and slightly sweeter alternative to mulled wine, mulled cider is an ace winter drink. With a mild orange flavour, citrusy zest and spiced hit we can’t get enough of this winter warmer.

Getting cosy with someone? Coogee Bay Hotel also serves its mulled cider in a carafe for two!

5 – Buffalo Wings

The final winter warmer on our list, (and the perfect meal for sharing) is this bucket of heavenly buffalo wings with a generous side of creamy blue cheese dip. These wings are super juicy and feature a special marinade jam packed with delicious spices making it a great winter comfort feed.
