MEMBERS’ CLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
1.1. The Coogee Bay Hotel Members’ Club (“Members’ Club”) operates strictly by the Terms & Conditions set out below. The Members’ Club operates at the Coogee Bay Hotel (“the Venue”), and is operated by the Coogee Bay Hotel (“the Venue Operator”).
1.2. The Members’ Club provides Members with the opportunity to earn and redeem Membership Points and receive benefits based on their membership tier. The Coogee Bay Hotel Members’ Club benefits are only available in On-Premises Outlets, and are not available at the following outlets:
Accommodation
Off-Premises Retail
Conference & Events
1.3. The Venue Operator may add, remove or amend participating outlets, membership tiers, benefits and eligibility criteria at any time.
1.4. Unless otherwise determined by the Venue Operator: Eligible Food and Beverage purchases earn one (1) Membership Point for every one dollar ($1.00) spent.
1.5. The Members’ Club excludes - and no points are earned for – accommodation, event or package bookings, gift card purchases, Keno, TAB, bottle shop sales, account charges, purchases made using redeemed Membership Points
1.6. Members’ Club points cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or special offers across the Venue outlets, such as the Sports Bar Happy Hour Program.
1.7. Membership Points and membership benefits are personal to the member and are non-transferable. Points cannot be transferred, sold, assigned or otherwise exchanged between members.
1.8. Members may qualify for different membership tiers based on their actual spend. Eligibility criteria, tier benefits, and ongoing qualification requirements are determined by the Venue Operator and may be amended, suspended, or withdrawn at the Venue's sole discretion at any time.
2. Membership
2.1. Membership in the Members’ Club is free and is available to any Australian resident who is at least eighteen (18) years of age and provides valid and accurate personal information when enrolling. Upon successful registration, all new members will commence in the Local tier and may become eligible for higher membership tiers in accordance with the qualification criteria determined by the Venue Operator.
2.2. A person may apply to become a member by completing an online application via the Venue's QR code or website, or by completing a physical membership application form provided by the Venue. By submitting an application, each applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with any amendments made by the Venue Operator from time to time.
2.3. A person who has applied to become a member of the Members’ Club will not be entitled to membership or receive a membership card unless their application has been approved by the Venue Operator, whose decision is final.
2.4. Prior to the issue of a membership card, the applicant must present valid original photographic identification acceptable to the Venue Operator to a member of staff at one of the Venue's participating outlets. The Venue Operator will capture and retain a photograph of the applicant for identification, security and fraud prevention purposes. This photograph will appear on the member's membership card and within the Venue's Point of Sale (POS) system, and may be used by Venue staff to verify the identity of the cardholder and prevent unauthorised use of the membership.
2.5. Membership is free but is limited to one (1) account per individual. Shared or joint memberships are not permitted. The Venue Operator reserves the right to merge, suspend or delete duplicate memberships that appear to relate to the same individual.
2.6. Members must promptly notify the Venue Operator if any of their personal details, including their name, residential address, email address or telephone number change/s.
3. Membership Card
3.1. Any physical or digital membership card issued by the Venue Operator remains the property of the Venue Operator and may only be used by the member to whom it was issued.
3.2. A member must not allow any other person to:
3.2.1. use their membership card for any reason, including the use of electronic gaming machines; or
3.2.2. engage in any activity on behalf of the member that necessitates the use of that member’s membership card. For example, a person (regardless of the person’s legal capacity) is not permitted to engage in any gaming or gaming-related activities that will be attributed to another person’s membership card.
3.3. Venue staff may require a member to produce valid photographic identification at any time to verify ownership of a membership card. Failure to provide satisfactory identification may result in the refusal of membership benefits, the withholding of Membership Points or rewards, suspension of the membership, or confiscation of the membership card until the member's identity has been verified.
3.4. New and replacement membership cards may take up to five (5) business days to be issued.
3.5. It is the sole responsibility of the member to protect their membership card against loss, theft or unauthorised use. Lost or stolen membership cards should be reported to the Venue as soon as reasonably practicable. The Venue Operator accepts no responsibility for any unauthorised use of a membership card prior to it being reported as lost or stolen.
4. Membership Card, Tiers, Point’s and Benefits
4.1. There are three (3) membership tiers: Local, Local + and Local Legend. As members progress through the tiers, they become eligible for additional rewards and benefits,
4.2. All new members will commence in the Local tier upon successful registration. Members may become eligible for the Local + or Local Legend tier by meeting the applicable qualification criteria as determined by the Venue Operator. Membership tiers are reviewed monthly for upgrades and quarterly for maintenance and downgrades.
4.3. To qualify for a higher membership tier, members must achieve the required average spend or points earned over the applicable qualification period. To maintain a tier, members must continue to meet the minimum qualification requirements during each quarterly review period. Members who do not meet the maintenance criteria may be downgraded to the appropriate tier. Membership may be cancelled where there has been no qualifying activity for three (3) consecutive months.
4.4. Members must maintain an active Members’ Club membership to earn and redeem points. A member may opt out of the Members’ Club at any time. If a member opts out, all unused and unexpired points will be forfeited immediately. Deleted points cannot be reinstated.
4.5. Points are earned as follows, unless otherwise determined by the Venue Operator:
4.5.1. Food and Beverage purchases: 1 point for every $1 spent.
4.5.2. Promotional Points (Wymac-generated points) do not contribute towards membership tier qualification.
4.6. Points cannot be earned on purchases made using reward vouchers, gift cards, account charges, redeemed Membership points, or any other transactions determined by the Venue Operator from time to time.
4.7. It is the member's responsibility to present their valid membership card or approved digital membership at the time of each eligible transaction. Points cannot be added retrospectively unless otherwise approved by the Venue Operator.
4.8. Points earned will be reversed where the associated transaction is cancelled, refunded or otherwise reversed.
4.9. Subject to having sufficient points available, members may redeem Membership points for eligible purchases at participating on-premises outlets. Local + and Local Legend members may also redeem Membership points for selected Selina's event tickets, where available. The number of points required to redeem an event ticket will be equal to the advertised ticket value (expressed at a redemption rate of 1 point = 1 cent), unless otherwise determined by the Venue Operator. The availability, allocation and eligibility of event tickets for redemption are at the sole discretion of the Venue Operator, and are subject to availability.
4.10. Redemption values, eligible products, exclusions and participating outlets may be amended by the Venue Operator at any time without notice.
4.11. Members’ Club points have no cash or monetary value. Points cannot be transferred, sold, assigned or otherwise exchanged between members.
4.12. Food and Beverage discounts are available only to eligible Local + and Local Legend members and apply only to participating on-premises food and beverage outlets. Discounts do not apply to Accommodation, Conference & Events or Off-Premise outlets. Discounts do not apply to gift cards, event tickets, or F & B promotions, or any other products or services specified by the Venue Operator.
4.13. Birthday rewards, Christmas rewards and any promotional vouchers are issued at the sole discretion of the Venue Operator. The value, product, validity period and redemption conditions of these rewards may vary and are subject to change without notice. Rewards are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be redeemed through participating on-premises outlets.
4.14. Membership points expire annually (COB June 30th). Any points not redeemed by this date will automatically expire and cannot be reinstated.
5. General
5.1. Any tax, liability, or duty incurred by a member arising from a member's participation in the Members’ Club is the responsibility of the member.
5.2. Any points credited in error will be deducted by the Venue Operator.
5.3. Any points accrued for any purchase or money spent that is then reimbursed or refunded will be deducted from the Member’s points balance.
5.4. The Venue Operator has the right to terminate or suspend the operation of the Members’ Club (including in part) or to vary or supplement these terms and conditions (including the membership tiers and the structure for earning and redeeming points) for any reason without notice and liability.
5.5. In addition to the right to terminate, suspend, or vary, the Venue Operator may terminate your Members’ Club membership immediately and without notice where (as determined by the Venue Operator in its sole discretion) you:
5.5.1. fail to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Member’s Program;
5.5.2. provide misleading information or make any misrepresentation to the Venue
5.5.3. are abusive or offensive to any of the staff members of the Venue Operator.
5.6. Where your Membership membership is terminated, you will cease to be entitled to earn and redeem points, and your unredeemed points will be forfeited without any obligation or liability for the Venue Operator to compensate the member.
5.7. Members of the Members’ Club are responsible for remaining knowledgeable about the Members’ Club terms and conditions and any changes made after becoming a member. The member’s continued participation in the Members’ Club will constitute the member’s acceptance of any such changes to terms and conditions.
5.8. Members are responsible for reading the Venue Operator’s Privacy Statement to understand how the Venue Operator collects, uses, and discloses a member’s data.
