1. PROMOTER
The promoter of this competition is Coogee Bay Hotel [ABN 25 096 618 389] of 253 Coogee Bay Road, Coogee NSW 2034 ("Promoter", "we", "us" or "our").
2. COMPETITION
The Ockerfest 2026 – Ocker of the Weekend competition ("Competition") is a skill-based promotional competition conducted on Instagram in connection with Ockerfest 2026 at Coogee Bay Hotel.
The Competition consists of five separate weekend judging periods:
Weekend 1: 1–4 October 2026
Weekend 2: 8–11 October 2026
Weekend 3: 15–18 October 2026
Weekend 4: 22–25 October 2026
Weekend 5: 29 October–1 November 2026
3. ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and its related companies, their immediate family members, and any person directly involved in the administration of the Competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant.
4. HOW TO ENTER
To enter, participants must:
Attend Ockerfest at Coogee Bay Hotel during one of the Competition periods;
Capture an original photograph or Reel of their Ockerfest experience;
Post the content to their Instagram account during the relevant Competition period;
Tag @coogeebayhotel in the post; and Include #OckerfestCBH in the post.
Entry is free. No purchase or consumption of alcohol is required to enter.
The Instagram account used to enter must be public at the time of judging.
Participants may enter more than once during a Competition period; however, each entry must be substantially different and comply with these Terms and Conditions.
5. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entries must:
Be original content created by the entrant;
Relate to the entrant's experience at Ockerfest;
Be posted during the relevant Competition period;
Comply with Instagram's terms of use and community guidelines;
Not contain material that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, offensive or otherwise inappropriate;
Not depict or encourage excessive or irresponsible consumption of alcohol;
Not suggest that alcohol consumption is required to participate in or win the Competition; and
Not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of any third party.
Entrants are responsible for obtaining permission from any identifiable person appearing in their entry.
The Promoter may reject or remove any entry that it considers does not comply with these requirements.
6. JUDGING
One winner will be selected for each Competition weekend.
Entries will be judged by the Coogee Bay Hotel Marketing team based on:
Creativity;
"Ocker" factor;
Entertainment value;
Originality; and
How well the entry captures the spirit of Ockerfest.
The Competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging or selection of winners.
7. WEEKLY PRIZES
The following prizes will be awarded:
Weekend 1 — 1–4 October 2026
1 x Bundy T-Shirt + 1 x Bundy Budgie Smugglers + 1 x Bundy Sunglasses
Weekend 2 — 8–11 October 2026
11 x Bundy T-Shirt + 1 x Bundy Budgie Smugglers + 1 x Bundy Sunglasses
Weekend 3 — 15–18 October 2026
1 x Bundy T-Shirt + 1 x Bundy Budgie Smugglers + 1 x Bundy Sunglasses
Weekend 4 — 22–25 October 2026
1 x VB Cooler
Weekend 5 — 29 October–1 November 2026
1 x Bundy Prize Pack consisting of 1 x Bundy T-Shirt, 1 x Bundy Budgie Smugglers and 1 x Bundy Sunglasses.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value where reasonably necessary.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
8. ULTIMATE OCKER OF OCKERFEST
Each of the five Ocker of the Weekend winners will automatically become a finalist for the Ultimate Ocker of Ockerfest.
One overall winner will be selected by the Coogee Bay Hotel Marketing team based on the same judging criteria outlined above.
The overall winner will receive:
1 x 15L VB Cooler;
1 x Bundy T-Shirt;
1 x Bundy Budgie Smugglers; and
1 x Bundy Sunglasses.
The overall winner will be announced following the conclusion of Ockerfest.
9. OCKERWEEN
The final Ockerfest weekend, 29 October–1 November 2026, will also feature an Ockerween / Best Dressed component.
Entrants are encouraged to dress in their best "spooky bogan" or Ockerween costume and submit their entry in accordance with the Competition mechanic.
The Ockerween winner will be selected based on creativity, originality, Ocker factor and overall presentation.
The Ockerween winner will receive the Weekend 5 prize outlined above.
10. WINNER NOTIFICATION
Weekly winners will be contacted via the Instagram account used to enter and may be announced on the Coogee Bay Hotel Instagram account.
If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of reasonable attempts by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
The Promoter may require winners to provide reasonable evidence of their eligibility before a prize is provided.
11. CONTENT AND SOCIAL MEDIA
By entering the Competition, entrants grant the Promoter permission to repost their submitted entry on Coogee Bay Hotel's owned social media channels and other marketing channels for promotional purposes, with appropriate credit to the entrant.
The Promoter will not materially alter an entrant's content without the entrant's permission, other than reasonable formatting or cropping for social media purposes.
Entrants retain ownership of their original content.
12. PRIVACY
Personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy.
Personal information may be collected for the purpose of administering the Competition, contacting winners and providing prizes.
13. LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for:
Lost, late, incomplete, damaged or incorrectly submitted entries;
Technical failures, network failures or other issues affecting Instagram or internet access;
Any loss or damage arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance or use of a prize, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
14. DISQUALIFICATION
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or entry where the Promoter reasonably believes that:
The entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions;
The entry is fraudulent or misleading;
The entry does not comply with the Competition requirements; or
The entrant has engaged in conduct that may damage the reputation of the Promoter or Competition.
15. INSTAGRAM
This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.
By entering, participants release Instagram from any responsibility or liability arising from or relating to the Competition.
16. CHANGES TO THE COMPETITION
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or withdraw the Competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable law.
Any material changes will be communicated through the Promoter's social media channels or other appropriate means.
17. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By participating in the Competition, entrants confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
